Block Drop is an original LittleBigPlanet game. It originated in the level Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Negativitron in LittleBigPlanet 2 as an arcade game. It's been ported to almost every T-Games console, because it is simple to port.

GameplayEdit

Block Drop is similar to Breakout in that its gameplay involves playing as a single paddle traveling left/right to get moving blocks. The blocks constantly fall down from the top of the screen. Score tracking may be used.

VariationsEdit

Block Drop has 2 noted variations, both sequels.

Block Drop 2 was created for the Fun Machine game Block Drop Collection as a sequel to Block Drop. Gameplay consists of catching white squares to build a tall stack by moving one left and right. The blocks stack up as they are caught, and if one is not caught, the game is over. It resets once enough are caught. The game also appears on the Super Player cartridge GemWay's LBP2 Classics Remastered #2: Block Drop Sequels.

Block Drop 3

Block Drop 3 was created for the Fun Machine game Block Drop Collection as a sequel to Block Drop. Gameplay consists of catching green or blue vertical stripes with a wide paddle. To properly "catch" a stripe, the player must press one of the X or Triangle buttons to correspond with the color of the stripe while the paddle is in contact with it. (X for blue, Triangle for green.) In the two-player versions, another player controls the block on top dropping down stripes. If a stripe is not caught, the game ends. The game also appears in the Super Player GWLBP2CR#2 cartridge.
